A nagging cough and sore throat is never fun over the holidays. As many of us have discovered, over-counter remedies often aren’t as effective as we would like, leaving us frustrated and exhausted. Over the years, I’ve treated many colds and coughs with my own homemade remedies and have found these “mommy concoctions” to offer fast relief. If you find yourself with a scratchy, sore throat and nagging cough, give our simple Cough and Cold Tea a try. It’s soothing, easy-to-make and tastes delicious!

Basics of Raw Honey for Healing
- Raw honey is never heated or processed, thereby preserving the nutrition.
- Contains essential enzymes, vitamins and antioxidants.
- Contains anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
- Local honey is often used to improve seasonal allergies.
- Note: Although, I typically stick to a vegan diet, including supplements and remedies, honey has become a staple in my own “medicine” cabinet. Although Manuka honey is my absolute favorite, local honey works as well.
