Today’s smoothie of the day is all about getting more anti-inflammatory foods into our diet. Turmeric may not be the first ingredient considered necessary for your next creamy concoction, but I’m here to tell you Gaia Herbs has made jumping on the turmeric bandwagon a little easier for all of us. Reducing inflammation is basically the name-of-the-game in terms of disease prevention, therefore, we’ve added Gaia’s Turmeric Boost Restore to our Anti-Inflammatory Peach Smoothie for a spicy twist on one of our favorites.
Traditionally used in Indian curry dishes, turmeric has grown in popularity due to several studies highlighting the anti-inflammatory effects of curcumin, a component of turmeric.

Focusing on anti-inflammatory ingredients (turmeric, ginger, dark leafy greens, tart cherries, dark berries, nuts and seeds, cultured foods, and cruciferous veggies) is a gentle and positive way move toward disease prevention and reduction of symptoms.
- 1 cup cashew milk (Optional: almond or coconut milk)
- 1 serving Gaia Herbs Turmeric Boost Restore
- 2 fresh or frozen organic peaches, skin and pits removed
- 1 frozen banana
- Optional: Vegan Sunwarrior Natural Vegan Protein Powder
- Add all ingredients to your high-speed blender (Vitamix) and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Top with your favorite nuts, seeds or other superfoods.
