Unfortunately, what my generation was fed (born in the 60’s) is completely different from what my mother or grandmother’s generation was fed. Farm-fresh no longer means your food was grown on a pristine farm, surrounded by rolling hills, buzzing bees, tweeting birds, and wild flowers popping up in the fields. We love sharing the truth about what’s in our food, and give real solutions to reducing processed and packaged foods in the diet. Beginning on a Monday morning, the kids typically walk in a bit nervous and shy – cell phones in hand in case they need to bail – not knowing what to expect, or if they’ll even like what we’re about to create. The greatest joy is watching a lightbulb go on. By the end of our four days together, these young people are empowered with the skills needed to make breakfasts, snacks, and even full meals that are completely plant-based, and free from gluten, dairy, GMO’s, and pesticides.
