Now that summer is in full swing, what will you serve your thirsty guests? Our Watermelon Romaine Juice is not only refreshing but has a nutritional purpose.
Did you know, according to the United States Department of Agriculture, watermelon contains as much or more lycopene than tomatoes.
What is lycopene?
Lycopene is the red pigment found in certain plants like guava, watermelon, tomatoes, grapefruit, sweet red peppers, purple cabbage, and mango. Several studies have shown that lycopene is protective against heart disease, as well as, prostate, colon, and rectal cancers. Now that’s a good thing! What are the health benefits of Romaine Lettuce?
Romaine lettuce is rich in Vitamin A (beta-carotene), Vitamin K, and folate. Due to it’s high water content, romaine lettuce is naturally low in calories and the perfect addition to any juicing routine. We’ve made it easy on ourselves today and added Organic Girl’s Romaine Heart Leaves to our juice. Give their sweet, juicy greens a try!Watermelon Romaine Juice
