Our cheese sauce is nothing like the rubbery, orange cheese I remember growing up. We stick to simple ingredients with a nutritional purpose. Soaked cashews give any sauce a creamy consistency and are rich in oleic acid – a heart-healthy monounsaturated fat. The same fat found in olive oil.

- 1 cup soaked cashews - soaked 2-4 hours
- 2 teaspoons coconut vinegar
- 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 3/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- 1-1/2 tablespoons Braggs Nutritional Yeast Flakes
- 1/3 + 2 Tablespoons water
Instructions- Drain cashews.
- Add all ingredients with the drained cashews into a high-speed blender. Give it a whirl until creamy. Make sure to scrape down the sides a few times.
